President’s Message

Notwithstanding a softening in some of the insurance lines, there still appears to be substantial interest in forming captives and considering Arizona as the jurisdiction to do so.

Latest News from the Arizona Department of Insurance

Three new captives have been added since your last update. Cart Captive Assurance Company was formed as a Pure and insures GL and Property under a Deductible Reimbursement program for Real Estate Developers. Fairway Insurance Company was also formed as a Pure for Deductible Reimbursement of Workers Compensation. It is owned by a large Golf Course Management firm with a number of locations in various states. Both of these new captives are managed by Dick Marshall of Camelback Captive and Risk Management.
